 Pre-School
Dance Program
Pre-Dance 1
This class is for your 3-4 year old tiny tots. The students
improve gross coordination skills. They begin to understand
classical and contemporary music. Dance terminology is introduced.
The natural spontaneity of the very young child is encouraged.
Pre-Dance 2
The student continues to refine motor skill and coordination.
The counting and rhythm of music is taught utilizing many
claps and much laughter. The improvisational inclinations
are stressed in a positive environment. Social skills and
a feeling of self worth are enhanced.
Early Dance
The kindergarten student begins preparation for the more
complex study of dance forms - Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Ethnic.
The dance vocabulary expands and fine motor skills are rapidly
increasing. The teaching emphasis is on the continuation of
the natural expressiveness of the very young child. A sense
of fantasy meets with teacher approval. Our classes are FUN!
and the enthusiasm of our teachers makes the learning of dance
a joy for the students.
